Gakushin Reki

Her name comes from two words that i've probably butchered terribly, but to me it makes sense:

Kougakushin - love of learning (remove Kou- Love)
Rekishi- Death by being run over (Remove Shi- Death)

and you get:

Gakushin Reki: Learn by being run over

or as i like to put it, a different way of saying 'learns the hard way' which she does...

now, to the avid anime fan she may look kind of familiar, no you aren't going senile, that's actually on purpose, since her design and personality was based off of three characters from animes i love:

Revi from 'Black Lagoon'
Reki from 'Habane Renmei'
and Hitomi from 'Welcome to NHK'

now throw these three together and you pretty much get my Reki, and yes, i know she shares her name with one of them, where do you think the concept of her started >:3

and before i start getting questions, yes, that is meant to be there...
